HeartLight is an interactive emotional lighting prototype that visualizes a user’s heartbeat through soft, diffused LED pulses. Using Arduino and custom-built housing, the system translates biometric signals into calming light patterns. Through iterative material testing, structural refinement, and sensor calibration, HeartLight creates a gentle, ambient experience that reflects the user’s inner state in a subtle, nature-inspired form.

This device is a heart-rate-responsive light installation built with Arduino, RGB LEDs, and layered diffusion materials. The internal electronics are housed beneath cotton and cardboard structures, while the top is decorated with moss and miniature forest elements. As the sensor detects the user’s heartbeat, the lights softly pulse through the landscape, creating a calming, nature-inspired visual experience.
